キャンバスの作品では、裏に回り込む部分が木枠に沿って切り取られていることがよくありますが、作品を解体し再度木枠に張り込む必要がある場合、布を継ぎ足して張りしろを補うストリップライニングとう技術を施します。写真はその応用編で、祭壇画の半円の部分を処置する場合、小さな布を並べてカーブに合わせていきます。花弁が開く様子に似ていることから、通称「マルゲリータ（フランスギク）」とよばれるそうです。使用… [Read more]
