(March 17)
You should keep an eye on the City of Firenze’s website regarding last week’s alert. It is not an individual response, such as schools being contacted, but Maltempo, Firenze scuole chiuse and the mayor has issued it! It’s quite simple.
My Italian class with my classmates ends this week, and today’s class is a slide show, where we learn about Italian ingredients, herbs, seasonings, and milk. I never thought I would be so confused about milk at the supermarket when I arrived in Italy…. There were so many varieties that I was confused as to which one to buy. Thank you for this explanation of milk. And I learned again how many kinds of milk there are. After school, I wanted to buy a file, so I went to “FLYNG TIGER”, a 99 cent store that had gone up in price a while ago. I should have bought more Japanese stationery. I wanted a file that would not get wet in the rain because of all the prints I had accumulated, so I went around to the supermarket but couldn’t find what I wanted (including the price)! This was unexpectedly good!

先週の警報について、 Firenze市のHPを見るようにしておいた方が良い。学校から連絡が入る等個別対応ではなく、Maltempo, Firenze scuole chiuseと市長が発令しているので、それに従う！至ってシンプル。　　
クラスメイトとのイタリア語授業も今週で終わり、今日の授業はスライドで、イタリアの食材、ハーブ、調味料、ミルクを学ぶ。イタリアに来てスーパーでミルクにこれほど迷うなんて・・・。種類が多すぎてどれを買って良いのか戸惑った。このミルクの説明、有難い。そして、ミルクの種類の多さ、改めて知った。放課後、ファイルが欲しくて向かった先は”FLYNG TIGER”、99セントショップはちょっと前に値上がりしていました。日本の文房具、もっと買ってくればよかった。プリントが溜まったので雨に濡れても大丈夫なファイルが欲しく、スーパーを回りましたが希望の物（値段含め）がなく、たまたま入った日本にもあるFLYNG TYGERで2€で見つけたファイル！これが案外よかった！

(March 18)
Italian class starts at 9:00 today. Today, we will solve the problems on the handout. I realized how important it is to communicate what you don’t understand, and how important it is to express your opinions and what you don’t understand. I was also happy to see that my classmates in their 20s were so ambitious, so resilient, and so enthusiastic, and that I could spend time with them as people regardless of generation. With only three days left to learn together, time is flying by. After school, I headed out on a gelato tour, as I had not yet decided on an internship.

今日も9時からイタリア語授業。今日は、プリントの問題を解いていく。わからないことは、自分でしっかり伝える、意見や、わからないことを伝えることが如何に大事か、もっと若いうちに来たかったとか、色々思うこともあったけど今のタイミングが自分にはベストだったと感じた大人留学の魅力。そして20代のクラスメイト達が、向上心があり、こんなにも逞しく、熱心で、世代関係なく人として時間を過ごすことができ、嬉しくなった。一緒に学ぶのもあと3日間、時間が過ぎるのは早い。放課後、インターン先が決まっていない私は、ジェラート巡りに向かう。

(March 19)
Italian class starts at 9:00. Today, Italian dolce. We learn about cakes and gelato through slides! I was thrilled to see so many different kinds in this class. Then we learn the names of the houses and rooms inside. After school, my classmates and I headed to ODEON (bookstore) to buy recipe books. We take our time looking through the recipe books, and I become obsessed with the hamburger book!

9時からイタリア語授業。今日は、イタリアのドルチェ。ケーキやジェラートをスライドで学ぶ！こんなにも種類があったのかと、ワクワクした授業。そして、家や部屋の中の名前を学ぶ。放課後は、クラスメイトと、レシピ本を買いにODEON（本屋）へ向かう。じっくりレシピ本を見て、私はハンバーガーの本に夢中に！

(March 20)
School break I made “Melanzane & Parmigiano” for lunch. Eggplant is usually fried, but I didn’t want to use oil, so I baked it on the grill! This is one of my favorite Italian dishes.

学校休み　ランチに”メランザーネ＆パルミジャーノ”を作りました。茄子は揚げて作るのが通常ですが、オイルを使いたくなかったので、グリルで焼いて作りました！好きなイタリア料理の一つです。

(March 21)
Italian class at 9:00. Today is the last day to learn with my classmates. Some of them couldn’t come because of illness, some of them are going back to their home countries tomorrow. The class ended with a commemorative photo. After that, we headed to Mercato for gelato to finish the day! Gelato here is the best. After lunch, my classmate said he was going to buy a cook’s coat, so I went with him. The first store was about 75€ and didn’t have any in our size, so we went to a different store. This one had coats starting at 35€! If you are planning to intern in Italy, you can buy one in Italy, but if you have a cock coat that you usually wear, you might want to bring it with you. I am still undecided about my internship place, so I am heading out on a gelato tour today.

9時からイタリア語授業。今日はクラスメイトと学ぶ最終日。体調崩して来れなかった方、明日帰国する方、2ヶ月間あっという間でした。最後に全員で記念撮影し終了。その後向かった先は、メルカートで締めのジェラート！やっぱりここのジェラートは最高。その後、ランチしてクラスメイトがコックコートを買いに行くと言っていたので、一緒に行きました。最初のお店は75€位、サイズが無くて、違う店へ。こちらは35€からありました！シェフの方のインターン、日本みたいにユニフォームをお店から支給されるシステムではないので、イタリアでインターンを予定している方、イタリアで購入できますが、普段着ているコックコートがあれば持ってきた方が良いかも。私は、インターン先が未だ決まらず、今日もジェラート巡りに向かう。
