Furniture Design vol.12 – Master Course 2018 (s.s)

As my teacher checked the progress of my chair, he reminded me on the structural details of the chair. He suggested me ways on which weaving to use and on how to attach the natural material on the structural frame of the chair. I am currently exploring other weaving methods to see which one would best look on my chair. I’m looking for something that has a modern approach than the traditional one.

While I’m still searching for weaving methods, the teacher discussed to me on the metal framing of the chair. He suggested me what type of metal to use and what size. Gave me two options and told me to think which would I prefer. In the end, using Iron with 10mm diameter in size I think is best for my chair.

Today, we had a class on how to make your portfolio. The teacher discussed on what to put inside the portfolio and what software to use when making one. She also showed to us samples to give us idea on what look we want for our portfolio.

Over the weekend, I met with my boss. I showed him around the usual tourist spots in Florence. We went to the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazzale Michelangelo. We also went food hopping at Mercato Centrale and had Gelato at Venchi.

Ever since I lived in Florence, I’ve been trying and learning to cook new dishes. This week I learned how to make baked potato wedges stir fried pasta. I didn’t get it on my first try, but on the second time, it became better.
