I participated in the summer program and took a one-week pottery course, a two-week home cooking course, and a one-week stained glass course.
サマープログラムに参加し、1週間の陶芸コース、2週間の家庭料理コース、そして1週間のステンドグラスコースを受講しました。


Pottery Class
On the first day, Kanae, the Japanese interpreter, showed me how to buy train tickets. I took the train for just under 15 minutes to Sesto Fiorentino Station, then walked 6–7 minutes from the station to reach the studio.

I received a pass that allows me to come and go from the studio for a whole year

They suggested various pottery pieces and techniques, and I focused on making tiles with an Italian flair.
There were lots of people coming and going from the studio, and there was always cheerful laughter in the air. The instruction was very kind and thorough.

There were frequent coffee breaks, and they even served us snacks, so the class ended in the blink of an eye
Since I’ll be here until June, I decided to have my pieces fired now and pick them up later.

陶芸の授業
初日は日本語通訳のかなえさんに電車のチケットの買い方を教えてもらい、sesto fiorentino 駅まで15分弱電車に乗り、駅から6〜7分歩いて工房に到着。

一年間工房に出入りできるパスをもらった

陶芸の作品や、やり方を色々提案してもらい、イタリアらしいタイルを中心に作った。
工房に出入りする方は沢山いて、いつも明るい笑い声が絶えず、指導もとても優しく丁寧だった。

ちょくちょくコーヒーブレイクがあり、お菓子まで出してもらい、あっという間に授業が終わってしまった
私は6月までいるので、作品はこれから焼いて，後で取りに行くことにした。


Off to Lunch
I finished my pottery class and got back near the school around 2:00 PM, and then it was time for lunch!
I used the meal voucher I received earlier to eat at two different restaurants
Both were delicious, but the portions were huge

ランチへ
陶芸を終えて学校付近に戻るのが14時頃になり、それからランチ！
はじめにいただいた食事バウチャーで、違う店で2回たべた
どちらも美味しかったが量が多い


A Glimpse of My Accommodation
It’s still bright out at 8 p.m.!
I still haven’t gotten used to the tricky Italian locks, though, so standing in front of the door when I get home is terrifying…
Once, I just couldn’t get it open and ended up having to call the landlord (^◇^;)

宿泊先の様子
夜8時でも明るい！
ただイタリアの鍵難しい問題にいまだに慣れず、帰宅時ドア前に立つのが恐怖…。
一度、どうしても開かずに大家さんを呼んでしまった(^◇^;)
