I am very happy to be able to stay in Florence. I've always wanted to live abroad. I want to live in a foreign country, talk to people, learn, eat, walk in new places, and become a stronger and newer person day by day.

Textile Design Short Course (#20) – Tomomi W

Textile Design blog Me working with Ms. Gioia, part 1.
Under the influence of seeing the carnival the other day, I wanted to paint something very bright, so I decided to make a T-shirt with a sun pattern.

Textile Design blog Me working with Ms. Gioia, part 2.

Textile Design blog I wanted to put a message around the sun, but I didn’t know any good words other than felicità, so I let Joya-sensei decide all the rest. LOL!

Textile Design blog This time I used a fine brush to draw the letters, but originally it is said that it is easier and more convenient to draw with ink in a container like this one.

Textile Design blog At first, I thought of using light blue for the letters to represent the sky, but after trying it out, I decided on green to represent a meadow, because light blue on a white background would not be clear, and I did not want to put cold letters on a warm-colored sun.

Textile Design blog I drew the face. After this, I fixed the ink with an iron, and after washing, the pencil lines will disappear and it will be finished.

Textile Design blog Lay a layer of carbon paper over the purple cloth, then a layer of tracing paper with a floral pattern on it, and transfer it to the cloth by tracing strongly from the top with a pen.

Textile Design blog The state of the transfer on the cloth.

Textile Design blog The petals are painted with white ink, allowed to dry, and then the colors are layered on top of each other.

Textile Design blog Thanks to the practice, the blurring has improved little by little.
