I’m Marian and I studied Business Administration. Since I was a child I liked to paint and draw, and during my degree I realized my dream. I decided to come to Italy because it is known as the cradle of art. For me it ‘s a big opportunity to be in Italy and to study painting and Drawing.

A door that does not open
This week we kept the painting about landscape, in my case; the door. This painting has taken a long time for me, because every time I see more detail and mistakes to be correct, and something new to be made better.

A fun class
The class with the Trompe l’oiel technique has become more fun, because each of us paints a different perspective, painting a perspective is a real challenge, and also each of the painting has the unique feeling and touch of each of us.

Friendship
In the photo there is Maiko and JT, my classmates who were doing a painting. Maiko has been with me since the beginning of the curse last year and JT joined the group on January. Both of them are a very nice company, and we like to stay together in the classroom until one of us has to go away.

Perspective
Trompe l’oiel technique requires the perfect perspective because the main point is to get the illusion. I’m painting water and it’s one of the most difficult to paint but also one of the most relaxing and fun.

Perspectiva

Piece of Palazzo Strozzi
I did paint with pastels a part of the wall of Palazzo Strozzi. I wanted to practice more pastel and also challenged myself on doing something related to the door that I paint, so I did it to start a new concept from what I see.

Let’s go with La Fiore
This week I had a visit, a friend from México came and he is an amateur of football and he asked me if we could go to the stadium of Firenze because in his trip he’s gone to the stadiums of any city that he visitied.

La Fiorentina is the football Florence team, its colors are purple and yellow and the symbol is the flower of Florence. In the stadium you can find all these colors and it was a very good experience and I think it would be very fun to go to a football game.

A long wait
This week I had a visit from Mexico, a good friend came and we were hanging around so we went to the places I like for something to eat and drink. I wanted to him to know the real Tuscany flavor so we went to All´antico vinaio for a pannini, this place is famous for its long line waiting to prepare the perfect pannini.

A real Pannini
The photo shows the typical panini from Italy, you can eat it at lunch time and you can see the people walking and eating or sitting on the floor with a glass of wine, this is the typical Italian lunch. This sandwich is made with a bread called schiacciata, and beef; bacon or salami or any other typical Italian beef. (Photo: 09 JPG. Next on the other page).

Autentico pannini
(Foto: 09 JPG. siguiente pagina)

A nice visit
It’s always nice to have visit and even more if the time has pass by and one is so far from home. That is why the visit of my friend was so good and nice, we walked around and I introduced him the city as I know it and I feel it, something not so touristic. The photo shows my friend and me in the Piazza Signoria with the David.
