Hello, this is Makoto. I came to Florence to learn about gelato. Until recently, I was undergoing anticancer drug treatment for cancer. Gelato supported me during that treatment. I wanted to learn how to make gelato in the real world, so I convinced my doctor to come to Italy three months after I was discharged from the hospital. Like I did, I would like to someday make gelato that can be part of someone's daily life, or can be eaten by people who are sick and have difficulty eating, or who are terminally ill and cannot eat solid food. こんにちは、Makoto S です。ジェラートについて学ぶためにフィレンツェに来ました。私はつい最近までがんの治療で抗がん剤治療をしていました。その治療中、私を支えてくれたのがジェラートでした。そんなジェラートを本場で学びたいなと思い、退院3ヶ月で主治医に無理言ってイタリアに来ました。私がそうだったように、いつか、誰かの日常の一部であったり、病気で食事が辛い人、終末期で固形物食べられない人が食べられるようなジェラートを作りたいなと思っています。

At Accademia Riaci, we are recruiting Course Reporters from our students. The students who are chosen to become Course Reporters are given 10 % of the tuition as their scholarship fee.
