I have been opening a gelato shop for 19 years on Yubu Island, a remote island in Okinawa Prefecture.
With the support of his family, he realized his dream of studying gelato this June.

沖縄県の離島・由布島で19年間ジェラート屋を開いています。 家族の応援もあり、この6月に念願のジェラート留学を実現しました。

I’ve always wanted to go to Italy
I was excited to be able to go there at the age of 48 and to have the adventure of a great migration to feel the earth.

It has been 19 years since I started a gelato store by chance. Bicycles and coffee have also been my life’s pleasure and work, and I am thrilled to have been able to visit the real Italy.

I also felt proud of what we have done. I am also filled with a desire to reaffirm that we want to be a store that our customers enjoy and delight in, and I am eager to take on challenges and new things.”

縁あって、ジェラートショップを始めて19年。自転車やコーヒーも、私の人生の楽しみであり、仕事であり、本場イタリアに行けたことに感動しております。

自分たちのやってきたことにも誇りを感じました。またお客さんに楽しんで喜んでいただくお店でありたいと再確認して、課題や新しいことも挑戦したい気持ちで、胸いっぱいです」
Gelato lessons
gave me not only lessons on the production process, but even advice on the challenges of my store.
The more days I was able to attend, the more I got to know the personalities of the staff, and I enjoyed every day!

製造工程のレッスンはもちろんのことですが、私のお店の課題についてまでもアドバイスしてもらいました。
毎日通えた分、スタッフの人となりもだんだんわかってきて毎日が楽しかったです!

Home cooking lessons
I also took an optional home cooking lesson!
There were many people in the home cooking course, but I only had one day of lessons.
It was a very elaborate home-cooked meal, but the ingredients were reasonably priced, but the way they made it look gorgeous was impressive.

家庭料理レッスン
また、オプションで家庭料理レッスンも受講しました!
家庭料理コースには、たくさんの方がいましたが、私は一日のみのレッスンでした。
とても手の込んだ家庭料理でしたが、材料費はリーズナブル、だけど、豪華に見せているところが「さすが」と感心しました。

Fresh Pasta Lesson
I also had the option of taking a fresh pasta lesson.
I talked about my family with the teacher and happened to have a one-on-one lesson, so I had the teacher all to myself.

さらにオプションで、生パスタのレッスンも受講しました。
先生と家族の話をしたり、たまたまマンツーマンのレッスンとなり先生を独り占めにしちゃいました。

Enjoy life in Italy
We also went to a winery and saw the vast winery vineyards up close!
Italy may be a small country, but it is the world’s number one wine producer. I was intoxicated by the different scenery from Florence.

Florence is also known for its marble paper!
I was drawn to a store that I had seen on TV in the past and had been curious about!

イタリア生活を満喫
ワイナリーにもでかけ、広大なワイナリー畑を間近で見られました!
イタリアは、国は小さいけど、世界1のワイン生産国。フィレンツェとは違う景色に酔いしれました。

また、フィレンツェといえばマーブル紙!
吸い寄せられるように入ったお店は昔テレビで見て気になっていたお店でした!
