I went to the studio today to show him the different dining table designs that I made. I made 4 designs and he chose 2 out of the 4. He told me some comments regarding the 2 designs that he liked, and told me to continue developing it. And if I have time, he said I can also think of a chair that goes with the dining table.

On today’s art visit, we went to San Firenze. San Firenze is a 17th century Baroque style building. This is one of the few churches in Florence that has a Baroque style. The teacher discussed to us how to distinguish Baroque style among the others. When you enter a church, or a place, it has an extremely impressive feature. Baroque style is usually highly ornate, extravagant, and grand.

Our art stage today is all about painting gold into wood. Each one of us brought any piece of wood that’s unfinished. I brought with me an alpaca-shaped tape dispenser, and so did my other 2 classmates. I actually had fun with our activity today. It was really comprehensive and I learned a lot from it. Now that I know how to paint wood with gold, I’m planning on doing this technique on some of my products in the future.
