Jewellery Making vol.2 (One Year Course – doreen)

Pic 3 to 4 – This is my workbench. This aged bench looks very season. It must have served many creative craft men faithful bringing them joy, honour and pride.

Pic 5 to 6 – This week, working on the grape leaflet pendant. After much sawing, filing and soldering, finally I am at the polishing station.

Pic 7 – Today we learn about perspective drawing. To me, it’s an in depth learning. But according to the professor, this is taught in elementary school to children from ages between 10 and 12. This is one of the reasons Italy raises many great artists! Wow!

Pic 8 to 10 – Coming from a young country Singapore, we do not have much of history in Art and Culture. Therefore, I always look forward to every Friday, the Art visit. Today, we visit Palazzo Davanzati. It is amazing. What I fall for is the handcrafted tatting and bobbin lace. Thin fine threads were used to create such delicated and refined collars and cuffs to be sown unto the bright colour gown sophisticately. I am in awe!
