Furniture Design One-Year Course (#5) – K T Truong
This week I concentrated on working on my project because next week as planned I would go to Copenhagen for a design fair. Starting from the very first sketched idea, I wanted to create a console table had differences in structure and shape of a regular console.
Completed the overall shape, I started to think more about the functional spaces of the console and I figured out following the curved of the console surface I could use the two sides as two sub-compartments.
After the idea step I moved on building my idea on software as I could get the more accurate view with the 3d model and materials later.
For this project I had plenty creative options for materials. I and my teacher we both agreed to pick out one option and from that I could work on the technical drawing.
I tried my first time cooking pasta in Florence with the pesto sauce I bought from Mercato di Sant’Ambrogio. For appetizer I had melon wrapped prosciutto together with fresh Pecorino cheese. They were all easy to make and tasted good.
I was about to finish my drawing this week on Bic pen class but there were some details I needed to fix to complete it as my drawing still lacked of some dark shades. The contrast was still not enough.
I and my friends decided to visited an Asian restaurant this time and we choose Gangnam – a popular Korean restaurant here. The hot soup served with rice satisfied me, we were pretty much pleased with this Korean meal.
