Based on my journey experiences, bag is like mobile home for me. It always represents people choices and selections which are necessary things in their everyday life. Since I have been worked as designer for many years, this is the perfect time to improve my two-dimensional works to be something practical in concrete ways. Hereby, I choose bag to be as my product which I hope it could be something extraordinary for people everyday life.

It is the first week after summer break. I am quite exciting in the subjects I will learn in this semester.

Picture 1: In this semester, I have gotten an opportunity to learn with Professor Veronica. I introduced myself, my work experiences as well as my previous bag designs in the beginning. Also, I presented her my researches and mood-boards for my next design which I had done during summer. Our discussion and every comment from Professor are very productive. This made me so excite how my next design is going to be.

Picture 2: Professor suggested me to think deeply about “Target” idea for my bag design. We did many brainstorms and she had shown me many resources to study with. Somehow, this practice of thinking about the actual target supports me to not loose direction while I sketch. It also will help my design to be more sensible.

Picture 3-4: I also have gotten an opportunity to attend in “Paper Pattern Making” with the students of Bag Making class. This is very fruitful for my practice. We began study from the basic patterns which many students done before. So, the Professor and interpreter suggest me try to make pattern from me previous design.

Picture 5-8: I practiced by draw the patterns on the paper and cut them. After that, I analyze them with the real model made by “Scarpa” or real bag picture references made by others in the past.

Picture 9-11: On Friday, we had Art Visit with Professor Barbara as the same. As always, she told us many Renaissnace stories and that made me exciting. This week we had a theme “The Medici walk”. She brought us to Cappelle Medici, Canto di Medici, Piazza di Madonna degli Aldobrandini, Torre dei Buondelmonti,etc. to see how loyal family and general family live in that era.
