前回の続きです。側面部分の彫りに取りかかりました。同じ柄を均等に一周彫っていくのは難しく、あまり綺麗にはできませんでした。反対側の側面部分にも、同じように彫りをしていくのですが、今度は均等に彫れるように慎重に行いたいと思います。

パヴェ留めの続きです。すべての石が留め終わりました。パヴェ留めをしたのは初めてで、一つ一つ確認しながら留めていったため時間はかかりましたが、石動きもなく綺麗に留めることができたのでよかったです。この後磨きの工程に入りますが、磨きすぎると爪がなくなり石が落ちてしまうため、慎重に磨いていきたいと思います。

先週土曜日のArt Stageでは、木製の箱に金箔を貼る授業がありました。箱に下地を塗り、表面が滑らかになるように紙やすりで削った後、接着剤のようなものを塗り、金箔を張り付けていきます。繰り返し塗って、乾かして、磨いて、と手間のかかる工程が多かったのですが、綺麗に仕上げることができてよかったです。
