I’m Marian and I studied Business Administration. Since I was a child I liked to paint and draw, and during my degree I realized my dream. I decided to come to Italy because it is known as the cradle of art. For me it ‘s a big opportunity to be in Italy and to study painting and Drawing.

A fun teacher.
The Trompe l’oeil class is a very fun not just for the painting also for the teacher. She is an Italian teacher, who is always herself and she has a story very similar like mine because she wanted to move on to Florence when she was young following her desire to paint and now she has become a great artist. I know I have a lot to learn from her not just the painting techniques.

The window to a magic world
My painting of trompe l’oeil is getting to have more visibility about how it would look at the end. I am really enjoying this painting and also learning a lot because even that I have work with acrylic technique, it has been quite long that I have not done it and also my hand is already used to the oil technique.

Express what you feel
This week I started a painting just to practice the brushstroke and the color mix. I wanted to express something from my inside and also to feel my brushstroke because this is like the sign from an artist, the way ones paint and the mix of colors, the palette that use.

Abstract brushstroke
The photo shows what I was doing to practice. After a while I started to see an image on the water, I found myself with the need of looking at something which I think is a good learning and a good advantage; an artist has to see something even that he can paint from the imagination.

Who is it?
This week we went to Museum horn for the visit art. This museum was an English man’s house; he decided to move to Florence and felt in love with the city as many of us have done. When you enter to the museum you can see a little hole on the ceiling this was because in those times the houses used to have it to see who came when they heard the door knocked.

Museum Horn
The museum was a castle of this English man. He decided to represent his house as it was in the medieval and renascence time, so inside the museum you can perfectly imagine how to live in the medieval time, and there are still authentic pieces and you can really feel how it was.

Museum Horn II
The English man who lived in the house, now a days it’s the museum horn, was a student of art, he was very good with knowing about the painting, and he used to buy art and exchanged it for something else. That’s why all that he collected is in the museum now a days.

Museo Horn II

Florence architecture
I started to pay attention to the architecture and the buildings and all the secrets of the city when I walk around Florence. The photo shows a bridge from the Palazzo Vecchio to the Uffizzi Gallery, it in those times connected the two buildings so that the Medici family could go from one to other without going outside.

The weather is changing
The weather is changing and the spring is coming so you can see how the city is changing around. You can see people outside enjoy the son and the nice weather. Also you can see some places and restaurants that are open again. You can enjoy a good afternoon in the different places and the living art of Florence.

Rhythms of the night
One of my favorite places is a Bar near to Santo Spirito, where there is a theatre upstairs and it has this reunions and people play music or act for free just for the pleasure of doing some art. I love going there and listen to music that is typical of Florence and is instrumental music.
