医師として忙しく働きながら、ジュエリーメイキングに興味を持ち、アカデミアリアチへ留学経験のあった親戚の紹介で、今回サマーコースへの参加を決意。

Jewelry Making Summer Course (#4) – R.T.
To create new rings, start by making two flat rings. Roll and cut the desired number of layers, then weld them together to form rings of the same size.
新しいリング作りのための、平たいリングを2つ作ります。作りたい枚数を巻いて切って、溶接すれば同じサイズのリングが出来上がります。
Use an iron ball to shape the central ring into a rounded form, giving it a soft impression.
中心となるリングは鉄球で丸みを作り、柔らかい印象に。
After school, visit the Uffizi Gallery. While the paintings are a must-see, the opulence and beauty of the frames are also highlights. It’s fun to consider openwork designs inspired by the frames.
放課後に、ウフィツィ美術館へ。絵画はもちろんのこと、額縁の豪華さや美しさも見どころです。額縁を参考に透かし彫りのデザインを考えるのも楽しいです。
I was deeply moved seeing Leonardo da Vinci’s and Botticelli’s Annunciation. Of course, Venus and Primavera were also hugely popular.
レオナルドダヴィンチとボッティチェリの受胎告知を見られて感動しました。勿論、ヴィーナスとプリマヴェーラも大人気でした。
For dinner, I made Amatriciana with people living in the same apartment building. The bucatini was satisfying and delicious.
夕食に、同じアパートに住む人達とアマトリチャーナを作りました。ブカティーニが食べ応えがあって美味しかったです。
This week’s Art Visit was to Casa Buonarroti. It was once Michelangelo’s residence, displaying exhibits about his life and his early sculptures.
今週のArt VisitはCasa Buonarrotiへ。かつてミケランジェロが住んでいた場所でもあり、彼の生涯や若い頃の彫刻が展示されていました。
Over the weekend, I visited Santorini for the first time. The white and blue buildings are incredibly beautiful.
週末は、初めてのサントリーニ島へ。白と青の建物がとても綺麗です。
We also joined a sunset cruise. It really hit me how many islands Greece has. We even jumped in for some snorkeling along the way.
サンセットクルーズにも参加しました。ギリシャはこんなにもたくさんの島があることに改めて気づきました。途中、海に入ってシュノーケリングもしました。
We got to see the sunset too, so we were completely satisfied.
サンセットも見られて大満足です。
It was such a wonderful trip, but a flight delay of over an hour meant we missed our connection. We ended up staying overnight in Munich… The white sausage I ate at the airport in the morning was delicious, so that turned out to be a good experience too.
そんな素晴らしい旅でしたが、飛行機の1時間超の遅延で乗り継ぎに失敗。ミュンヘンで一泊することに…朝に空港で食べたホワイトソーセージが美味しかったので、それもまたいい経験になりました。

At Accademia Riaci, we are recruiting Course Reporters from our students. The students who are chosen to become Course Reporters are given 10 % of the tuition as their scholarship fee.
The Reporters who have submitted excellent reports will have his or her profile posted on our school website for the next 5 years as an alumnae and will be able to connect with their business chancesafter their graduation.
