I have been engraving for a long time, but I wanted to learn Florentine engraving in Italy to improve my skills, so I joined a one-month summer school.

彫金は元々やっていましたが、技術の向上の為や本場イタリアでフィレンツェ彫りを学んでみたいと思い、一ヶ月のサマースクールに参加しました。

Here is a shot of the first lesson. Today we will first use a thread saw to cut out a silver plate in the shape of a grape leaf.初めてのレッスンの様子です。今日はまず糸のこを使ってシルバーの板を葡萄の葉の形に切り抜きます。
This burner is fed with oxygen through a tube by itself. It is very difficult to adjust the heat! It takes some time to get used to it.
こちらのバーナーは自分でチューブをくわえて酸素を送ります。火力の調整が中々大変！慣れるまで少し時間が必要です。
It is very hot in Florence in summer, so I had a gelato to cool off. Today I had pistachio flavor. This store seems to make pistachio paste in their store, so it is fresh and thick! Delicious.フィレンツェの夏はとても暑いので、涼を取るためにジェラートを。今日はピスタチオ味を食べました。こちらのお店はピスタチオを店でペーストにしているらしく、フレッシュで濃厚！美味しいです。
After the lesson, I went to a pizzeria with some girls from the same class using a meal coupon. Calzone was served. It was hot inside and filled with spicy salami and ricotta cheese! It was very voluptuous.レッスンの後は同じクラスの女の子たちとミールクーポンを使用してピッツェリアに。カルツォーネが出てきました。中は熱々でスパイシーなサラミとリコッタチーズがたっぷり！とってもボリューミーでした。

The school is right near the Duomo. It was relatively cool in the morning, so my landlord and I came to the school after taking a walk from our apartment.学校はドゥオーモのすぐ近く。朝は比較的涼しいので、大家さんと一緒にアパートから散歩がてら学校に来ました。
フィレンツェにある石屋さんで石留めに使う石を買いました。リングを作るためにまずは石座から作ります。日本では見たことない機械があります。
