小さなキャンバス画の修復に入ります。埃を落としただけで黒くかすんでいた画面に明るい色が戻ってきました。さらに肌色など、特にニスの黄変が目立つところを選択的に溶剤で洗浄します。人物の頭の周りに欠損が目立ちますが、かつてつけられていた銀製の飾りや宝石が引きちぎられて盗難にあったことによるようです。通常の工程通り石膏の詰め物をして削り、凹凸の細工をつけたらベースカラーを塗っていきます。その後ニス掛けし、… [read more]
