Shoe Making 15.1.28 : Assistant Report 12
The start of another shoe repair. These boots are Fiorentini and Baker, an Italian brand. It is always interesting during a repair because that is when you can tell the true quality of a shoe. These seem to be good quality for a factory made shoe.
Old heel pieces and new heel pieces.
New heels. The one on the left has been dyed and waxed and the one on the right before dye and wax.
Brass nails in the bottom to add strength.
Finally finished my boot uppers, woohoo!
Here is some thread that has been hand-waxed and twisted for a good year welt.
