The first week we knew the teachers, what we will be doing and how. We started drawing and doing some exercises so we could see how to develop technics and see our mistakes to correct them and improve our level of perception and expression. The teacher told us about the emotions and feeling that are involved when we draw and paint, how the body feels and moves when the draw comes from the inside and that is the real expression.

This is the first draw made in class. We started drawing the sculpture so the teacher could see where we need more help to develop during the course. Every student started drawing from different point of the sculpture and different technique like pencil or sanguine.

The second day of the class I changed the position to get it a little bit more difficult because I know it is hard for me to get the measures right and this view has a real challenge for me. I started focusing on the measures with a pencil but then the teacher show me how to do it with a thread and was easier for me to get the measures better.

The sculpture is the hunter; this little one is in the middle of the classroom and everyone chooses the view of the sculpture to draw it, there are other two sculptures on the classroom so there are many different draws and no one has the either the same view nor the sculpture.

The teacher goes like every ten minutes with each or every student to make us see what is wrong in the draw. He takes the draw near to the sculpture so we see the draw far from where we are stand and that makes us to see the difference between the draw and what we are looking at while drawing.

The next class the teacher suggested me to change the technique so I started a new draw with sanguine which was much more difficult for me because it’s not that easy to erase. It was something that I liked so much because when I was doing it I could appreciate the work and the beauty of the sanguine. I remembered the draws of Dan Vinci and I felt more excited to dominate the technique. At the end of the class we supposed to finish the chiaroscuro and I liked my work.

In this class we studied how we felt the objects and how we can express what we feel. We were doing some exercises with fruit. At first we touched the fruit and felt the organic form that it has and the smell and the rough or the softness. Then we had to draw what we felt in a generic way, no the specific. This class was so fun and I liked too much because I learned to draw and express what I feel.

After we felt the fruits we started painting and playing with the position of the fruits, we had to paint the paper just with one color and make the fruit appear taking the color out. We were playing the positions to get the composition and know how it works.

This is the material for the painting up, we use solvent which is in the jar and just with one color raw umber. We took a toilet paper and put some solvent on it and then took the color so that way the painting has more oil and is easier to paint.

Here is how my view was and how the composition I wanted to be. We first had to play with the position but after we had to see the shadows and the light so we can bring the fruit to the painting. This technique is a way to start a painting but is not the only way to do it.
