Today, each of us is going to learn the process of Photoshop.
First, we are going to make the most basic design of plaids.
We open the scanned plaid design image drawn by pencil with Photoshop, then the teacher shows us the next step of how to create its texture. Later, the students will actually begin the process of creating the texture using Photoshop by him/herself.

For the beginners in the class, the teacher repeats the same steps several times and teaches them particularly carefully. It is necessary to learn the basic use of Photoshop, such as the way of writing and its coloring, how to change the colors and the shapes, how to apply and change the effects and the handling of layers, and so on. It is convenient to remember the use of command key as well.

After having completed one of the base textures, we create a set with it. Then we reproduce it, and it is important to test which colors coordination is feasible and effective. The possible versions are practically infinite, so we must try as much as we can. While trying, you will be able to learn how to use Photoshop as well. We copy the finished set into a different file at first and there, we make several color variations. It is possible to change its size and also the size of the design patterns. Not only how to design but the editing techniques also becomes an essential part of the fashion design process. Students listen attentively to the teacher’s explanation.

Students on short courses are already applying their textures to the clothes designed by their own. As we learned last week, we scan the design, remove any fault, and prepare to apply color and texture. During the texture application and coloring process, we try to convey as much as possible a realistic sense by adding wrinkles and shadows.
