One-Year Course ・ Semester Course

Overview

The Jewelry department focus on the production techniques that are necessary to succeed as a goldsmith.
・Through our programs and customized instructions - according to each participant’s level and goal - we encourage students to explore and develop their own expressive style, elaborating self-directed projects and research.
・Projects encompass conventional formats, such as brooches, rings, and earrings, as well as experimental designs, both wearable and non-wearable.
・Students will also be introduced to business practice, necessary to start up their new professional career.

In the Jewelry Making course, students will discover and learn how to translate their inner creativity and conceptual style into three-dimensional forms to create unique objects. They will master a variety of techniques, including sawing, filing, soldering, casting, forging and stone setting. Moreover, we offer our students a unique chance to learn the traditional art of “incisione” (Florentine-style engraving). The study will not be limited to traditional materials, but can also incorporate items such as beads, plastics, glass, and found objects.

One-Year Course

This course offers a comprehensive and accelerated program, giving a unique opportunity to acquire a wide range of knowledge and techniques related to the chosen field of study. Along with practical classes of the major subject - combined with challenging homework and assignments – our Basic Italian Art Lessons will provide students with the fundamentals of Italian arts and design. Furthermore, students will broaden and enrich their artistic experience - looking beyond the borders of your specialty – through our weekly guided Art Visits and monthly Art Stages.
Through this program, students will not only acquire a solid foundation in their study area but also they will develop specific and advanced skills, immersed in a stimulating learning environment. Moreover, they will have the chance to learn basic business practices, to start up their career as young professionals. Diploma certificates are issued to those who pass a final exam.
