The Jewelry department is dedicated to mastering the production techniques essential for success as a goldsmith. Our programs offer customized instruction tailored to each participant's level and goals. We inspire students to explore and develop their own expressive style, fostering self-directed projects and research. Our projects cover traditional formats such as brooches, rings, and earrings, as well as innovative wearable and non-wearable designs. Students are also introduced to vital business practices to prepare them for their professional journey.
In the Jewelry Making course, students will unlock their creative potential, transforming their conceptual styles into unique three-dimensional objects. They will become proficient in various techniques, including sawing, filing, soldering, casting, forging, and stone setting. Moreover, students have a unique opportunity to master the traditional art of "incisione" (Florentine-style engraving). Our curriculum extends beyond traditional materials, allowing for exploration with items like beads, plastics, glass, and found objects.
Our one-year course is a comprehensive and accelerated program that provides a unique opportunity to acquire extensive knowledge and techniques in your chosen field. Practical classes in the major subject are complemented by challenging homework and assignments. Additionally, our Basic Italian Art Lessons impart fundamental knowledge of Italian arts and design. Students will enrich their artistic experience through weekly guided Art Visits and monthly Art Stages, encouraging exploration beyond their chosen specialty.
Diploma certificates are awarded to those who successfully pass the final exam.
Throughout this program, students will: 1. Establish a solid foundation in their study area. 2. Develop specific and advanced skills in a stimulating learning environment. 3. Gain insights into basic business practices, paving the way for their careers as young professionals.
