Overview
The program’s curriculum is crafted to foster creativity and self-expression, providing students with skills that enrich their lives. The Painting & Drawing major equips individuals to embark on a journey as self-employed artists or pursue advanced studies in fine arts. Self-employed artists showcase and sell their work in various prestigious venues, including galleries and museums.
Our comprehensive curriculum encompasses not only drawing and painting but also explores art appreciation, art history, design, and various studio arts disciplines. Students benefit from access to diverse instructional techniques, reflecting the contemporary diversity of painting while rooted in traditional and historical methods.
Our faculty, representative of the richness of contemporary painting, maintains a strong foundation in traditional and historical precepts. Students are encouraged to develop an awareness of the artistic landscape, connecting their practice to both historical milestones and the contemporary context.
In studio classes, students spend significant time creating original works, delving into various aspects of the field, and exploring a multitude of artistic media. Upon completing intermediate painting or drawing, each student undergoes a portfolio review by the drawing and painting faculty to determine program continuation. Before graduation, every student showcases their work in a comprehensive exhibition, serving as an impactful exit review.
Our studio art faculty members are accomplished artists in their respective domains, maintaining private studios and valuable gallery connections. Each faculty member actively exhibits and engages in extensive travel, ensuring they remain current and hold a high status in their field.
