Jewelry making vol.23 – Atelier One Year 2018 (a.m)
Pic1 先週磨いていた指輪の続きです。まずはしっかり磨き上げてから、石を嵌める場所を決めます。
Pic2 そしてそこに穴を空けます。この時、石留めのための穴を空けてはいますが、すぐに嵌める訳ではないので、ベースの作業までで終わっています。
Pic3 あとは石を嵌めるだけなので、石留めの授業までこの指輪はお休みします。

Pic5 自分の指にもきちんと嵌ってくれたので、完成が楽しみです。
Pic6 そして間髪入れずに新しい指輪の制作が始まります。
Pic7 まずは銀を溶かしてベースの銀の棒にし、少ししっかりした細めの棒に加工していきます。
Pic8 少し火を入れてから、自分の指に合うように棒を丸めていきます。
Pic9 丁度いい大きさになったら切断面がきっちり合うように切り出し、なるべく正円になるように形を整えてから溶接していきます。
Pic10 溶接をし終えたら、均等に四角く縦に印を入れていきます。一つの四角の中に石が1つ入る予定です。印をつけ終えたら切込みを真っ直ぐ歪まないように入れていきます。
Pic11 Pic10で入れた四角の中心に慎重に穴を空けていきます。かなり神経を使う作業なので、続きはまた日を改めて作業を進めていこうと思います。
