Bag Making 16 – Spring 2015
手縫いの授業の様子です。
革が分厚く、直接針を通すことができません。
そのため、写真の手前に写っている道具を使い、革に穴をあけます。
上三枚の写真は、縫っているところのものです。
穴をあけたところに、右の針を左に通し、左の針を右に通します。
その際、針がクロスするようにします。
この鞄は、左が正面なので、左の針を手前にしてクロスにします。
そうすることで、左の面の縫目は綺麗に仕上がります。
これは、ミシンの授業で作っている鞄です。
型を抜き取ったあとです。
この写真は、取手の部分です。
上の縫目を見て分かるように、縫い始めは3回ほど往復して縫います。
取手はよく使う部分なので頑丈にしなければ解れます。
