Interior Design Short Course (n.7)

WEEK 7
Interior Design blogThis week I started working on my sofa’s technical drawing. Professor Bicci reminded me to keep in mind on the close-up details. I decided on my Section A to put different textures depending on which materials.
Interior Design blogOn this drawing, I enhanced the Section A of my sofa as per Professor Bicci. He told me to put different colors instead so it looks much easier to read. He said that when it comes to building a sofa, there are different layers on it which is the wood, polyurethane, and the feathers.
Interior Design blogI have also made a technical drawing of the kitchen area as well. This took me quite a while as there were many details that I should be focusing on. Professor Bicci approved it on my first try but he kept in mind some minor details but all is well overall.
Interior Design blogThis week I went to a wine factory and learned about the process of making wine. I love seeing how the oak barrels are stacked to one another and that it gives more flavor as time goes by.
Interior Design blogI also tried wine tasting and this is my plate of appetizers while we’re trying our first glass or red and white wine. I especially love how they put on balsamic vinegar on our cheese. It’s a 30-year old balsamic vinegar and it was really good!
Interior Design blogI could not pass this up as this was the best lasagna I have ever had. They eventually let us try it out with their balsamic vinegar and it was so good on a whole new level.
Interior Design blogThis week I went the medieval town of San Gimignano where apparently one of the best gelato’s in the world is there. I had 2 flavors, ‘italian garden’ which was fruity but not sweet, and my go-to gelato flavor which is ‘stracciatella’
Interior Design blogOn my way back to Firenze, this was my view after visiting San Gimignano. It felt so surreal and calming to pass by these vineyards that I was only able to see in the movies before.
