Interior Design Short Course (n.2)

WEEK 2
Interior Design blogProfessor Bicci taught me this day the standard dimensions of kitchen cabinets, drawers and countertops. I was explained the functionality of every drawer and cabinets and how a sink should be attached.
Interior Design blogI was showed a technical drawing of a modular cabinet as an example for the kitchen area of my villa design.
Interior Design blogThis is the progress of one bedroom in my villa. I was tasked to design the cabinet first and with the guidance of my professor, I was able to do the dimensions correctly.
Interior Design blogThis is how I applied what I learned for the main kitchen area of the villa after being taught the standard dimensions of a kitchen space.
Interior Design blogThis day I learned the different types of wood materials. Professor Bicci explained to me the functionality and cost of each wood material and how it is best used depending on the furniture.
Interior Design blogThis wood material is called Tamburato because it sounds like a Tambourine when being tapped because of the semi-hollowed space inside.
Interior Design blogProfessor Bicci showed me an example of how wood can be bent. The picture shown is one of the process that can be applied to bend wood.
Interior Design blogThis week I was able to try the famous sandwich shop in Florence which is called All’Antico Vinaio and I got a tartufo sandwich.
Interior Design blogI visited Piazzale Michelangelo and waited for the sunset. It was a perfect day as it was raining last week and today was bright and sunny so I went outside.
Interior Design blogI went to Giardino Bardini in hopes to get a glimpse of the beautiful wisteria plants while they were still in bloom and somehow I managed to still see them.
