Painting Restoration 42-Internship Course 2015-2017

全ての欠損にベースカラーを施しニス掛けをしたら、樹脂絵の具での補彩に入ります。まずは欠損の部分からはじめ、かすれや傷がついている個所などの細部も見直し仕上げていきます。

After putting base colors on all the deficits of the drawing and varnished over them, colors are added using resin paints. I start from the deficits then fix all other minor scratches to finish it up.

現在ウフィツィ美術館では、イタリア国家憲兵隊の尽力により保護された美術品を集めた小さな展覧会が開催されています。イタリアには世界一ともいえる美術遺産保護のための特殊部隊があり、大戦後に散在した文化財、テロ・盗難などの被害にあった美術品の保護、危険な場所での発掘作業などにあたっています。会場には、ギリシア時代の貴重な壺から宝飾品、ルネサンス絵画などジャンルを問わず一級品の文化財が並びます。中には盗難から作品が戻った当時の映像や実際の発掘の現場のビデオなども映し出され、大変興味深いです。

At the Uffizi Gallery, there is a small exhibition of arts reserved by Carabinieri (Italian National Military Police) going on now. As Italy being one of the world’s most dedicated countries for conserving arts, there exists a special military unit in charge of collecting arts and cultural assets lost after the World Wars, keeping custody of arts that suffered damages from thefts or terrorisms, and the excavation work in dangerous areas. At the exhibition, you can see a variety of the first-class arts from pots and jewelries made during the ancient Greek era to Renaissance drawings. You can even view very interesting movies of arts when they got back from theft, as well as actual excavation work.
