This week I took a class on furniture design. The theme was “Furniture that divides a room without walls”. It was my first time to design furniture and it was a lot of fun! We were able to come up with a design while the teacher showed us actual examples. I learned a lot of new things, such as how Italian furniture is made with an emphasis on design! Next week, we will start a class on furniture restoration and production. I think we will be doing some drafting, so I would like to make use of what I have learned this time!

今週は家具デザインの授業を受けました。テーマは｢壁のない部屋を分断する家具｣です。家具のデザインをするのは初めてだったのでとても楽しかったです！先生に実際に例を見せてもらいながらデザインを考えることが出来ました。イタリアの家具はデザインを重視して作られるなど、新しいこともたくさん勉強できました！来週からは家具修復・製作の授業が始まります。製図などもすると思うので、今回勉強できたことを活かしていきたいと思います！
