I feel you

The song that inspired me to design this piece is: I feel you by Shin Yong Jae. Like all the words of this song, my goal is on the starry path in the night sky, and if I made a mistake in my choice, even if I am in the middle of a storm of negative thoughts and unfavorable conditions, and if I fail in this path many times, I will continue again and I protect my goal and I keep going and flying in the right direction like a phoenix. In designing this piece, I used the Phoenix wing, a mythical bird that symbolizes immortality, endurance, and strength. I showed all of the strength, endurance, and immortality of the purpose with the phoenix wing and the garnet stone. I showed the night sky with black pearl and the starry path with diamonds. And finally, I will end with this sentence. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from. The ability to triumph begins with you – always. ― Oprah Winfrey Materials: soft gold and matte gold, diamonds, Garnet stone (pear and round cut), black pearl Size of necklace: princess necklace 18" (45cm).

Designs inspired by “Con te partirò”: As we know the four elements of life are nothing without the sun and lover without his beloved is like it too. In the 1st design, the beloved was conceived as a girl with a yellow diamond in her hand that represents sunlight and life. Red gems are placed on the beloved's clothes as a sign of love. The four main elements: fire, wind, water and earth have grown on both sides of the beloved form. In order to better associate the four elements, colors appropriate to their natural colors have been used. The circle is a living element, and round diamond gems are placed around the elements, also make the necklace connections stronger. In the 2nd design the same story happened, applied a large number of round diamonds under the beloved's feet to feel a sense of suspense and dreaminess of the beloved. The 3rd design: In this necklace, the beloved is imagined as a girl who hold a yellow diamond as a symbol that she holds the light of life in her hands. The turbulent sea form is located next to the beloved, which is decorated with blue gemstones. At the bottom of the design, an egg is designed to symbolize rebirth, as well as green gems that refer the symbol of life. Finally, point of poetry is that life without a lover is empty and meaningless. Technique of all designs : watercolor

Sound Cartography

In the line of the Soundscape concepts, John Cage generates a series of creative operations to compose music of environments or soundscapes from the musical reading of images and daily contexts. Through the action and directed reading of a series of instructions, he interprets the lines and geographical coding and creates the set "Solo for Voices 3-92". Using the first composition, Solo for Voices 3, in which he makes a musical lecture of the map of Concord, the city of Henry Thoreau, Cartografía Sonora proposes the inverse operation of interpretation of the coding of the particular musical and / or sound language of the first volume of these set or works by John Cage. I will use musical expressions, his “partitures”, to draw territories; the musical signs will be roads, cities, islands, rivers, mountains and / or valleys, thus creating a series of maps that constitute a cartographic interpretation, either by combining two or more annotation systems or using one of the many ways of writing for the structuring of images, either from repetition, superposition or juxtaposition. The series of works will be made from different pictorial and drawing resources, as well as with different plastic techniques, such as collage, in different formats and supports: paper or fabric preferably with the possibility of being foldable and extensible simultaneously.

The Gnossiennes

My project consists of a 6-piece polyptych that are drawings made with India ink and soluble graphite on paper in a circular format (27 cm in diameter each). Each drawing corresponds to one of The 6 Gnossiennes which are a series of works for piano created by the French composer Erik Satie (1866 - 1925, Precursor of minimalism and impressionism in the history of music). My interest in this author has not only been for his musical compositions but also as an example of an artist who related the musical language with many other areas of art and culture. My process for the realization of this series of 6 drawings was to listen to each piece of the Gnossiennes with my eyes closed while making the abstract drawing on paper in a circular format. I made each drawing in two moments, or listening to the same piece twice: the first time paying attention to the accompaniment of the piece, registering it with drips and more diluted ink stains, following the rhythm and the lower tones of the melody. In the second moment, I was listening to the same piece again but now putting my attention on the main melody and the highest notes to register them by means of squiggles, lines and gestures in the drawing. So my intention is to make a visual record of the musical pieces trying to connect the notes, the rhythm and the times of the music with the line, the stain and the intensity and strength of the strokes of my hand.

Concept of this project (passion necklace and earrings) has inspired by a Persian song which is one of my favorites from the great singer homayoun shajarian. In this project I aimed to show the circulation of joy and passion of life in form of a round necklace surrounded by string of pearls. Materials used in these pieces are white gold, emeralds in shape of pear and prince, round diamonds and also white pearls.

This pair of earrings inspired by the song “Do-Re-Mi by The Sound of Music (1965)”. It is a song that been translated into various language spreading all over the world. “Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do” is the basic musical languages just like the beginning of the alphabet ABC, to sing a million billion songs by just mixing up them! To me, Music is all about feeling and emotion. A simple and cheerful rhythm of this song that cross over my mind always brings me towards a carefree place. I sketched several flows of the music to get the right feel to represent the high and low notes. Mix-matching the right color to get the fun, joyful, lively look. Dancing with the music. Bright, sunny, fearless and confident. All sort of this came in my mind and turned into a pair of One-of-a-kind Ear Piece. Different setting techniques such as micro setting, flush setting, bezel, prongs and even channel setting used, to bring a different and unique look. Omega Ear Clip used so that the ear piece can sit nicely on the wearer. Selected out the stone with less depth/ narrower in order to cut the weight contained; Wearer will be more comfortable. Using the natural color of the gold to obtain a subtle tone/color that gel the gemstones/ overall look. For instance, blue trilliant cut sapphire (in Right ear piece) bezel set in Natural White gold, a more subtle color, to bring out the warm, subtle tone of blue. Some part such as setting for the Cushion cut Pink Tourmaline (in Right Ear) prongs and casing are plated in black gold to get a ‘pops’ effect. To bring an attractive, eye catching point.

My favorite music, especially when I have to work or create something new, is the cinema soundtracks. I chose the song “Almost Idyllic” by Many Beautiful. The song inspires a place full of legend and myths, a warm world, full of life and optimism and I translated through a modern creation but with a classic look. I chose to combine the classic watch with the smartwatch. I was inspired by the classic shapes to which I added natural elements, all in a vision offered by modern technology. The touch screen is designed to bring more features to the watch, from being able to see the hour in a digital form, to receiving notifications directly from the phone or being able to monitor the steps taken in a day. Everything is framed in a small screen. The smartwatch and the classic watch are controlled by two different buttons on the edge. The two pieces are designed to work together, when the classic part changes its minute or hour, the intelligent part will also change. As a last touch I added a white natural leather strap that is attached to the watch. It is a concept made with several programs, from CAD to sculpture / engraving. The images are rendered to provide a close representation of the actual product. The product is designed to be made by 3D metal printing and laser cutting of shapes and hand engraving. The materials proposed for the concept are: rose gold for the case and for the interior and birds I chose to use bronze and metal with white enamel. I also added small stones 1mm in size. The dimensions of the watch are: Diameter 45mm and thickness 9mm.
